tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-74777276885153442022011-09-28T16:40:02.731-05:00All about my ham radio adventures and equipmentDennishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07007851030577703233noreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7477727688515344202.post-3936539710841705222010-12-20T09:48:00.001-06:002010-12-28T08:08:02.399-06:00This is my amateur radio blog.&nbsp; I have had my license for almost 35 years and currently hold an Amateur Extra class license.&nbsp; I have operated VHF/UHF weak signal, satellite (Phase 3 series birds), HF DXing, HF CW both "normal" and QRP, and have done extensive building.&nbsp; I have also done some digital stuff - first with 2m packet back in the '80's, and then later with some of the soundcard modes on HF.<br /><br />Right now, I am limited to what I can do because I live in an apartment and cannot install any decent HF antennas.&nbsp; I do have access to the attic and I am on the top floor of the 2-story apartment building and I have installed a couple of antennas up there for 2m and 70cm FM.&nbsp; Right now, all of my work is on VHF/UHF FM, but I hope to have some rudimentary HF capability by mid year.&nbsp; I will probably wind up working sound card modes on HF given the compromise antennas that I will have to use.<br /><br />I am also involved in the Cape Girardeau County ARES (I am an Assistant Emergency Coordinator).<br /><br /><br />73<br /><br />Dennis - WB0WAO<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7477727688515344202-393653971084170522?l=wb0wao.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Dennishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07007851030577703233noreply@blogger.com0
